Motherboard for Gamer: MSI P45 PLATINUM

Learn from experience, now MSI produced a motherboard for gamer with new and better design than product before it. As example, in new design the power connector placement now far away from heatpipe stripe and processor socket.

Now, you can found a little button at back panel. This button is a reset BIOS button. it will easy to press and reset your BIOS if you had trouble with your overclocking experiment.

And what is more.. MSI P45 PLATINUM had better heatpipe cooling system for northbridge chipset.

What about stability.. I can run 3DMark06 looping process for 48 hour with no kind of trouble.

Bottom line:
MSI P45 PLATINUM oriented for gamers and overclockers, this motherboard had a good performance and good stability.

Technical Data:
- Processor: Intel 775 LGA socket
- Northbridge: Intel P45
- Southbridge: Intel ICH10R
- FSB: 200 - 500
- Multiplier: Auto
- Form Factor: ATX
- PCI/PCIe 16x/PCIe 1x: 2/2/2

Knowing Quality and Stability of Motherboard from it's Capacitors

What is capasitor? A capacitor is an electrical device that can store between a pair of energy in the electric fieldconductors (called "plates"). The process of storing energy in the capacitor is known as "charging", and involves electric charges of equal magnitude, but opposite polarity, building up on each plate.

What is Solid Capacitor (left motherboard using solid capacitor), electrolytic capacitor (right motherboard using electrolytic capacitor), and what the different?

Solid capacitors and electrolytic capacitors both store electricity and discharge it when needed. The difference is that solid capacitors contain a solid organic polymer, while electrolytic capacitors use a common liquid electrolyte.

Solid capacitors are composed of a highly electro-conductive polymer that dramatically improves stability and reliability.

In terms of lifespan, solid capacitors last longer than electrolytic capacitors, especially at lower working temperatures.

Now... did you know which motherboard for gamer like you?

Oh, yes... motherboard with all-solid capacitors will be more expensive! :)
